Wow, I had too look up that the G3 came out in '94, so Bruce was the guitarist in KISS.
What I do find funny is that it seemed a viable idea to show people how great something sounded via a telephone call. A tinny, crappy telephone call. It's like showing the wonders of colour TV to people on their B/W sets, even further back in the day.
Cool piece of history there.
