That literally made me LOL!

Many of us, blamed Gene for much of the bad decisions when it came to KISS. But, Paul's book really put things in perspective and I came away with a new-found respect for Gene for not beating the hell out of Paul. Completely lost all respect for Paul due to his book.

He actually likes his own songwriting too.

His songwriting has more cheese in it than the Roth era(s) of VH. I was a KISS fan since a kid and the first album, but nowadays, the only songs that hold up for me are those where they had outside writers who brought some much-needed lyrical sophistication to the group. For the most part, I only look on the Kulick era with fondness. Very underrated guitarist and watching Tommy try and play Forever's solo on the acoustic, shows just how much finesse that Bruce has as Tommy's versions are just too sterile.

*edit* Not a Tommy hater and was actually a huge fan of B&B in the day and have zero issue with Tommy in the makeup. Tommy has to cover so many eras of KISS with various guitarists, that he can't always nail the "feel" of the original. Bruce had a lot of feel in his playing and played from the heart.

Usually with the Paul and Gene it's the other way around, the "used" ones would be much more expensive!!!
