Songs you tend to avoid

Post by poserboy71 »

While at the local pawn shop ( hunting for deals and cheap blue ray discs) ,Lick It Up came on the radio. It hit me in a great way . Just realizing that the Vin-man was jamming made made me smile and extend my stay until the song finished. I have heard the song so much that I usually skip it... Not today. It really did start my day off properly.

I used to be bored off Deuce in the 90's, I was annoyed that Kiss kept playing it. Then when we played it in my Kids covers band I realised it was a lot of fun to play.

And Rick, I never skip Lick It Up!!!!!.:)

No No No is totally entertaining. Though some of Bruce's contributions are not that memorable (Some are outstanding) this is memorable

Thanks for the post Fratello!

I haven't listened to alot of Kiss recently
I did all of Lick It Up album on LP just yesterday.
It was ALLL good :)
...and then proceeded to Creatures on LP too.

(Agree about Hot in the Shade too, what a piece of shit, rubbed me soo bad I haven't bought any Kiss since)

And yeah,as Vic knows, Naughty Naughty is just too cheesy for me....bleuk

That's actually one of the post Vinnie tracks I like a lot.

Not a Kiss track, but when I listen to Iron Maiden's The Number of the Beast I always skip Invaders.

I love Invaders!!! Great main riff.
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

The riff is one of the things I like about it. There's parts that are pretty bad ass in it, but then you have awful parts like the chorus. Some cool stuff, but it's a really weak track. Which is surprising for Maiden, but it was rushed. Otherwise a great album though.
