Gary Corbett Part 1 & 2 (Audio)
Gary Corbett Part 1 & 2 (Audio)
Part 1 of a 2 part conversation with Gary Corbett who's worked with KISS, Cinderella, and many others. In part 1, many topics are discussed including Gary's hiring for the Crazy Nights tour and Gene Simmons' subsequent hazing of the keyboardist during soundcheck. Also discussed is Gary's appearance with KISS for 1988's Monsters of Rock festival as well as the band being managed by Dr. Jesse Hilsen; Paul Stanley's psychotherapist. We also begin to touch on Gary's deep friendship with Eric Carr and his memories of Eric always going the extra mile to please fans while, at the same time, feeling stifled by his bosses in KISS. Lots of interesting details are discussed in this no-holds-barred conversation.

Oh baby, this is gonna be good!!!
I recall he was dropped at one point because Kiss could not afford to pay him, and then he returned.

Hey man, can I buy your sounds? Gee, that's a low move. So it was during the Crazy Nights tour he was on again/off again, the tour they really needed him for the songs.

Re: Gary Corbett Part 1 (Audio)
It's funny cause it's true.
It's also pretty true that being Kiss was what hurt them.
People needed an open mind to listen to a Kiss album and appreciate it. Crazy Nights was a great album of the time and would have sold a butt load, with hit singles galore if someone else had released it.
Paul's vocals were off the charts.

This was the pinnacle of Paul's singing
Re: Gary Corbett Part 1 (Audio)
I saw kiss with anthrax back in 87 twice. Seemed like more anthrax fans. What a weird choice of band to open crazynights tour.
The one arena they had a curtain drawn across back seats so basically only seats on basketball court floor and sides from stage.
That said saw ozzy few years later with zakk and same bad attendance.
Crazy nights singles did nothing in usa. However i think a pinnacle for kiss in UK with higher attended tour than reunion even.

We're back with the second half of our in-depth discussion with former KISS keyboardist Gary Corbett. In this hour-plus discussion, Gary touches on some very sensitive subjects behind the KISS curtain, in particular the final days of Eric Carr's life and the struggles he went through with the band. Other topics include inner-band turmoil on the Hot in the Shade tour, half of KISS donning makeup for the 'Rise to It' video, and Paul and Gene's stories about past band members during the tour. Also included is an interesting story about KISS' visit to Holland in the late 80's. Listener discretion is advised.

Chris is on his way.
Just think, It all started HERE as Chris wanting to write a book about Vinnie.
Paul is well aware of The Decibel Geek Podcast and has basically slammed it (and other podcasts) on his Twitter.
For Paul to belittle any podcast is absurd and a slap in the face to his fans.
Most podcasts are done by fans as a labor of love.
Chris and I grew up with Paul being our favorite member . Then Vinnie came along and I had two favorites.
It stinks when your heroes think they are too cool to be real and that they are above another human.
Now that Paul is in The RNRHOF, Does a Rolling Stone interview hold more substance and truth ?
My vote is for the fan interview that asks questions that the real fans want to know.
