If Vinnie is out of the picture I'll go with either Bill Aucoin or Eddie Kramer

Both Bill & Sean were vital to the Birth of KISS but musically my choice would have been Bob Kulick !!! Considering they passed him over for Ace...he remain friends with the band and pitched in when they were in a bind...

Nobody

Stu Sutcliffe left the beatles before they made it big, and Pete Best was replaced. That's the reason, they are known as fifth beatles.

I have to disagree with you KMA...the term "fifth beatle" means someone who is/was instrumental to the bands success...behind the scenes in the Beatles case for someone who is a casual fan Stu Sutcliffe and Pete Best may be the obvious choices but if you're talking about the person that really played an important part in their career neither of those people would qualify...the REAL fifth Beatle is George Martin. You may be able to make a case for Brian Epstein or Mal Evans for some consideration (possibly some others) but George Martin is the general consensus.

what i meant by fifth beatle was a person who played on their albums alot but not recognized. kinda like billy preston was the fifth beatle because he played with them so much.

my vote goes to jean beauvoir.

apart from being pivotal helping them develop their stage characters and their signature moves,Sean was their road manager/babysitter and ,also, wrote many songs and often he didn't get the credit for.Peter, and in less measure,Ace, gave Sean its due in his book.

You can also hear briefly hear his voice at the beginning of "i can't stop the rain",a song he wrote about his breakup with Bill.

BY many accounts, he was a key element in Kiss success and a very kind person.

I'd agree with Sean Delaney.

That is most definitely Peter at the start of I Can't Stop The Rain. Delaney wrote the tune.
