This is the original version of the song "First Day In The Rain". The band Steve was in when he wrote it was called 'The Fine Malibus'

Great musicians for sure...still not a great album. Too all over the place.

The Fine Malibus were managed by Aucoin, and so Bill asked Steve to give him the song for Peter to record it.Steve agree on the premise that he would have played the solo on it.In his own words"I've thought- this record could sell!! How wrong i was!"
The silver lining was that Bill put Steve with Bily Idol, and the rest is history.
I still think that "jealous guy" by peter is much better than Brian Ferry's version(That one got much airplay at the time).

Peter did do a great version of Jelous Guy.
Cool to know about Steve. He got with Billy so it all worked out.

There are good tunes on both of those 80s solo albums, but as collections of music they are disjointed and inconsistent.
