I cringe at some of the notes but as Ace would say, "ROCK-N-ROLL !"

This was recorded about 20 years ago in my buddies basement.I'm singing and playing the guitars, my friends Mark and Rob were on bass and drums respectively.
It was totally off the cuff (and it sounds like it) Just three buddies jamming and testing out Mark's new board. This was my first attempt at singing anything.
We just looked at each other and said ,"Let's try to sound like Alive 2'"

Ok, I missed the Poserboy Link the first time around and thought that he was saying the Kiss performance was he and his friends.

Schobel that was REALLY COOL Bro! I think that you nailed the vibe of both the Stanley and Frehley Solos in I Stole Your Love and the rhythm tone was killer. You can sing too Bro so be real proud of that recording and thank you so much for contributing to the site here.

1. so much character in the singing. not many people can bring out who they are in the vocals but i think rick does. most kiss covers have a very generic feel this does not have.
2. energy of this song is great
3. love the simple but effective drums.
4 killer guitar sound
5. more entertained listening to this than the kiss version.

Rick pulled this out of nowhere. a bit like ace and shock me.

Thanks guys. My rhythm guitar and drums were live (first or second take if I recall). I recorded the solo right after that was done.
To correct myself, I believe that Mark added another rhythm guitar and a little background vocals when he laid his bass down after I left his house.
I actually forgot about it for a few years because it was such a spontaneous goof. We were just some friends that were hanging out and talking about Kiss.
We picked the tune and did it right then and there.
I think that I played through Mark's Marshall 800 or 900 with his Black Les Paul custom.

There are a few more tunes we did .We weren't even sure of some of the arrangements but recorded them anyway. It's difficult for me to share because while I am proud of the spirit and the memories of that day, the clunkers and sour notes make me wince a bit. We didn't want to fix them . We wanted the Kiss ALIVE experience.

Just like seeing early Kiss live, the spirit triumphs over the execution.
