If that was a real Ed Roman the price would be 4 or 5 thousand maybe? The paint looks OK and the hardware is OK too. From here it looks to be worth more than $550 and might be a nice collector piece for someone.

Someone should grab this one for the money!

Is that a genuine FR II? It does look kinda oldish.

Genuine Roman....if Ed baby had a shop in Shanghai that is!

But looks half decent to be honest.

The price is telling us it was made in Asia somewhere, and that is a fake Floyd.

Right, not bad at all for a collector piece, especially if you could get it signed by Vinnie to hang in your home or office. Looks better than most replicas I have seen going for more than 3 to 5 times the price!

No disrespect intended but...
It still doesn't change the fact that it was made in a mud-hut in Taiwan.
I wouldn't say it's even close to a collector's piece. Whoever buys it can make it into a fun beater. I'm sure the frets grate at the fingers and need addressed. The pickups might need changed and it wouldn't hurt to brass block that China Floyd. I will boldly say that the guitar needs some work to be a real player.

Having said that, the guitar looks cool but $550 is pretty damn close to what those things sell for straight from the mud-hut.

I recommend packing the album and Metal Tech VHS with the guitar and asking $450-$500.
I believe that to be more than fair to you and the purchaser.

It's definitely not collectable, but I think he meant for someone who is a collector it can go in their collection.

But you really need the real thing. It's like only having bootleg t-shirts of your favourite band, not the real, good ones.

As a collector, I would buy shirt at the KISS show, and some from the bootlegger too, cause they were cheap and different and it was for my personal collection. But you need the real thing.

A collector would want an AZG or Jackson for sure, you can get the junk from Asia all the time, but it really doesn't mean much in the scheme of things. There are potentially a LOT of these things out there.

Right. It is what it is. It's no high-end piece by any means, but hey, it's a beautiful guitar! It's been sitting in my closet for quite some time, and I know there's someone out there who will appreciate it much more than I do.

You are correct. It would be really awesome with some tender lovin' care.
What do you think it needs ?

THIS,
While I respect everyones high standards and great taste not everyone can afford to pay Vinnie $9,000 for a guitar

This looks better than those cheese pink and gray ones from Rare Guitars. Actually it may be the best looking Chinese 3DV Guitar that I have seen. The paint looks good and the other concerns if valid can be fixed or changed

Who is currently making these at this time? Not AZG or Monster only Roman and I have seen how much you dudes all love those LOL :-)

This guitar should sell for his asking price

Out of the box, it's nothing more than a great "wall hanger" & conversation piece. It needs a pro set-up for the floyd height, action, neck, and intonation which would cost on average around $100. (Action is actually not bad, just needs to be fine tuned). That's all it really needs if you're just jamming at home. To step it up a bit, I'd put on a real Floyd ($200), and replace the pick-ups with some nice DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan Humbuckers, (around $75-$100 each). With those changes, I think it could be a decent player. Again, not a "high-end" custom, but a decent alternative for a fraction of the price.

The ad is long gone, maybe it did sell?

If it was local to me it would have been of interest, see what could become of it.
