Yes, he is a master messing with those and keeping them in tune somehow. He is also a master of tuning while he is playing :-)

After reading all the posts, it seems it might not even be a Charvel anyway. A strat replacement neck could work, it seems.

I was thinking about making a gold rhodes from a Dragonfire kit...it would be more of a "model" of Vinnie's guitar since its a bolt on.

Well. Nobody in the world makes the guitar I want if it makes you feel any better. Try to find this....it's probably illegal:

1. 24 fret fatback neck with Tall stainless steel frets
2. Neck thru construction
3. Floyd rose tremolo / locking nut
4. Dimarzio super distortion pickups
5. explorer or bc rich ironbird type body...better yet, an AF40v Ace Frehley Washburn body (try to find that body anywhere)
6. 25.5 inch scale
7. 7 string.

ESP guitars come close but no stainless frets or fatback. Can get the neck from warmoth but not with 24 frets and not neck thru. Just can't get all those specs together in one guitar!!!

Bc rich iron birds are close but no stainless, neck will be typical slim and scale is too short!

Sucks that I can't get what I want.

Post photos when it's built! Good luck!

Tom Palecki of Arizona Guitars will build you your dream guitar!

Ed Roman Guitars will too but I would look at their site for ideas and then have Tom Palecki build it for you.

Yes, you're right, I'm just disgusted with the lack of choices so sorry for venting... I was in Vegas a few years ago and talked to Ed Roman's shop about a custom AF40 Washburn. It was going to be very expensive....like 5 grand or more for just the basics.

The most practical thing for me will be a bolt on axe with a special neck from Warmoth...

By now, Charvel San Dimas & So Cal models are available again, now MADE IN MEXICO. I've read some articles about them, seems to be ok. My local store will order one for me. I will tell you, how it works! Cheers! 8)

Interesting he said he put a real 59 paf on vv's gold guitar. Anyone seen pictures of that?

Hi Dino

Vinny Cusano used to work at my store on West 48th Street in NYC.
I co- wrote Back on The Streets with Vinny . Vinny even lived in my house with my old girl friend and I. The closest thing to me making a guitar for Vinny was me putting a 1959 Stratocaster neck and 1959 pickups on a white 1968 Stratocaster that was owned by Felix from the Rascals guitar that Vinny had. I still own that guitar. I put a real Gibson 1959  PAF pickup on Vinny's Gold Jackson too. Vinny purchased many guitars from me back in the 80's. Maybe it was made for Vinny by the late Ed Roman from CT.

Best picture of vv in my opinion
FREDDYB3 wrote:As previously mentioned it is my belief that the Red "strat" style guitar being discussed here had at least 3 different necks on it in a relatively short time period. I have posted some close up's previously of one of the maple one piece necks, and it's logo as well as shots of the neck with the darker fretboard. Here is a few close-up's of what I believe might be the original "Guitarman" neck. Just to clarify, the other "Charvel" similar logo could have been this one, altered with a black marker. It has been proven that Vinnie has in the past, altered or hidden parts of or all of logo's with black markers, tape, etc. These are just some personal theories however. Some pics for your viewing pleasure.... Forgive the slight glare, some were taken off of a framed poster.
