With gratitude and embarrassment I have to admit that I never listened to Killing Joke because I thought that their music would be garage/punk bullshit with a band name like that.
This is actually right up my alley.

You're welcome! Glad to pass on good music, that's what it's all about! I guess Killing Joke could be classified as "post punk." They were a huge influence on Tommy Victors and Prong (he even stole their bassist Raven for Prong).
