Any idea what the guitar is Ed? Strat?

It very well may be but what 15-16 yr old kid in the mid 60's would be able to afford the Real Deal ???

The Younger Generation pics are so nice, aren't they? If only the people that were watching the performance knew what was to be in store later on.
Re: The Younger Generation
In the 60's most guitars were the real thing. Cheaper guitars came from catalogs but it wasn't until the 70's and beyond that the copies began.
Until then it was the real thing. Only Fender made a Strat etc.

Re: The Younger Generation
I asked because, to me, it looks as though the end of the headstock looks pointy not round like a strat? Just guessing.

Re: The Younger Generation
My guess would be a Teisco Del Ray or some company like that considering that the bass player looks to be playing a Mosrite...
Could it be a Fender Strat ? Sure... Vinnie's folks were, and still are, musicians and may have got the boy the real deal. ALSO, Strats were a Hell of a lot cheaper than a Gibson Les Paul.
