Concert lighting and film

I just haven't seen pictures and scenic lighting like this in ages. I wish it came back.
Even local bands have light shows with lasers and flashes going off. ANNOYING.

The smell of the pyro and the old school feel of an arena shaking will forever be engrained deep within me.
No wonder I can't truly enjoy most concert experiences now.

The only gigs that really affected me in the last decade or so have been Y&T and Foxy Shazam simply because they brought it OLD SCHOOL !!!!

Notice the difference in these two Queen shots form decades apart?
OLD SCHOOL CHARM AND COOLNESS COMPARED TO HIGH DEF OVERLOAD.

If anything, I wish Kiss would go back to the "darker" shows of the past. The overly lit up stages they have now just have no atmosphere.

Yeah. Exactly. Just a few spotlights and a dark stage looks way better than blasting the stage with different colours. Turns it into a Britney spears or gloria estafan concert the way it is now.

Sadly, that's probably what Paul is aiming for...

They are a pop whore band these days especially when it comes to live shows.
They need to go dark and edgy like they started out. They can not do it without some crazy reckless band members.

Plus a darker stage could hide a little more of Paul and Gene's weight gain that squeezes thru their costumes.
;)
