Without doubt, that is the vilest thing that's ever been spoken here! Shame Vic, shame!!!!!Genebaby wrote: He reminds me of Kirk Hammett here.

Lol....I'm sure Vinnie sees it as a compliment.

Re: Vinnie in his younger days
His hair was certainly a lot shorter, it may be he was trying to grow it long... He was probably into Zeppelin and the Who at this time... The beginning of his love of Rock music...

I love how Vinnie's hair is naturally curly. And soft curls too. <3 I want to go back in time to this picture and touch it. haha.
I wonder what song he was playing on his guitar there?

You can tell of his love for The Beatles with that particular guitar.

I would actually think this pic is from late 70's/early 80's... the clothes and hair suggest it?
Re: Vinnie in his younger days
good one rick, also his rickenbackers show his love for the 60s stuff. i actually have similar taste to vv . i suppose we all do.
Bye Bye

Yes. Its true.Brooklyn_Born wrote:You're a goner Girl! You're totally in love with Vin
Re: Vinnie in his younger days
Absolutely. John Lennon has always been my favorite Beatle. The guitars are almost identical. So cool! Vinnie loves a lot of the same bands I got into before I discovered him. He really liked Jeff Beck too and I am a huge Yardbirds nut.poserboy71 wrote:You can tell of his love for The Beatles with that particular guitar.
Re: Vinnie in his younger days
yeah. i like all the beatles, its hard to choose for me. i change daily.
Bye Bye
Re: Vinnie in his younger days
I like how John Lennon's voice is raw and his songs are very introverted. I think Paul is one of the hardest bass players to play like. He really I don't think gets credit for how intricate his lines are sometimes.doublev2 wrote:yeah. i like all the beatles, its hard to choose for me. i change daily.
Re: Vinnie in his younger days
paul gets a raw deal i think. some of the 70s stuff was amazing. love bluebird so much

Re: Vinnie in his younger days
My favorite Beatle is Paul. John was too political , artsy, and serious for me.
George was too quiet, and Ringo was a drummer(LOL).
Paul delivered the most of what I like.

i wonder what music john would be making now. its really hard to tell which way he would go. I love Ringo but not his solo stuff too much unless i want a laugh. that disco record was funny, kind of like Peter's you matter to me.

Re: Vinnie in his younger days
Its hard to say what music John would be making now. It would be so fascinating to me if he was still here to make more music. I would love that.doublev2 wrote:i wonder what music john would be making now. its really hard to tell which way he would go. Re: Vinnie in his younger days
Lennon would have been a big player in the 80's he would have created some awesome music I loved solo beatles music in the 80's particularly McCartneys No more Lonely Nights & Harrisons work too

Re: Vinnie in his younger days
I had a singing group in elementary school that went around to classrooms and sang songs.
Lennon's"Woman" was one of them
Dolly Parton's "9 to 5 " was another

It is funny to think that a few kids started singing on the playground because of our love for music and the teachers had us eventually sing in class.

Actually George is my fave but Jimmie Nicol's story has always fascinated me... kinda like Thayer or Singer but he didn't get to keep the gig. Ended up a bankrupt recluse... hmmm, guess he's more like Vinnie.
Re: Vinnie in his younger days
His story is fascinating and I can completely see the connection with Tommy Thayer or Eric Singer...More Tommy Thayer though, I don't know why? hahaPinkWiz wrote:gonnarock wrote:Ringo's subsitute while he had tonsilitis. Nice. hahaPinkWiz wrote:Jimmie Nicol was my favorite Beatle...
