I've heard the Mark Slaughter story before too but I'm kind of puzzled by it. Retrospectively, did Vinnie originally like Mark and then once he got him didn't like his technique? It seems to me that post "All Systems Go" that I've read that Vinnie didn't care for Mark's Singing.
This recording is right from Vinnie in his own words there is no denying that fact. At least this is how Vinnie felt at this particular point in time.
How refreshing it was to listen to Vinnie confident, serene, inspired and seemingly in a happy place.
