Jotted down some quick questions...

Can you shed any light on how Vinnie was approached/agreed to film an instructional video?

Where was the video filmed at? (In the credits it says it was recorded at EQ Sound Studios. Was this the place and where was it actually located?)

The video was filmed sometime in 1988. Would you know what month it was recorded in? His new album at the time, “All Systems Go,” was released in May 1988. So perhaps sometime between January and April?

In the opening of the video, Vinnie “plays” a group of solos from “All Systems Go” (and one solo from his 1986 debut album). What is the story behind Vinnie miming the solos? Why did he not play them live? And did you find this scenario odd?

How long did it take to film the video?

How would you describe his guitar style?

Part of Vinnie’s unique guitar style stems from his pick/finger combination attack. Do you recall thinking this was an interesting technique?

Do you remember what amplification Vinnie used for the video?

Would multiple takes have been filmed for each lick?

Did you get the sense that Vinnie was a "perfectionist"?

As producer of the video, how would you describe working with Vinnie?

What was his personality like? Do you remember a pleasant atmosphere?

You produced many other guitar videos, including Paul Gilbert’s famous “Intense Rock.” In comparing Vinnie to some of the other “shredders” of that particular era, where do you think he ranks in terms of ability and technical skills?

How do you rate Vinnie’s video in terms of its usefulness as an instructional tool?

Do you have a sense of how Vinnie’s video sold?

Did you have any other run-ins with Vinnie after the video?

Can you fill us in on what you are to nowadays?

I asked him questions years ago but don't seem to have them. I guess VV deleted them off the dv board and that was it.
