Rock N Roll Experience: Was it easy getting rid of Vinnie Vincent?

Paul Stanley: It was very easy to get rid of him but you had to feel a little bitter about somebody screwing you when they tell you that they’ve being honest with you so you have to be a little bitter about that, but getting rid of a bad seed is usually a relief but at the same time it kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth."

huh, please no jokes about Paul bad choice of words :P

There is always more to "working" with Vinnie than we think.

I used to be pissed that Kiss didn't keep him but that was nobody's fault but Vinnie's.

Kiss were doomed to not be as great as they could have been and the initial Invasion stuff made it seem like a decent outcome but only two albums were released and Kiss kept on going.

By not becoming a proper band member after months of saying he would, so Kiss could do things like insure the band properly.

Probably other things we don't know. Shameful things. :(

I 100% believe Paul. Seen as 99% of people who work with vv for more than a few months have the same story. Why does vv want to leave a legacy like that and only have one full kiss album and two solo albums to show for his 33 years as a pro musician. So sad.

It is one of the coolest guitars I've ever seen that's not completely, totally custom.

Because it WAS a production model, yes? As in, you COULD at one point buy one (or the intention was to manufacture them for retail) from any of the guitar manufacturers he made miserable through the years.

I consider completely custom guitar something you have built to your own specs verses one that is built in a factory and sold through retail.

No it wasn't a production model. A blueprint didn't even exist for the guitar (straight from a famous guitar maker  - In his words-"We did it old school "). You could only order one through Jackson at the time and they were all CUSTOM models that had to be ordered. The VV guitars that were ordered and made in the 1980's all had different dimensions to their designs. At one point, All Jackson guitars were custom orders. Now that they are not , a lot of Jackson models have suffered although they are quite playable and solid.

:D :D :D :D Nope- Carvin made ONE VV guitar and that was for Vinnie. Vinnie didn't pay them and that is why Carvin is sour and won't make ANY VV guitars.

Yeah, and like I say over and over you could barely order them custom in the 80s. Only in late 90s through to about 2002 would Jackson make them easy to custom order. The vv guitar has never been offered in any catalog other than the 2010 asg/pear and none ever sold due to pricing set by vinnie.

Ya see...that is another reason I love this site. I learn new stuff all the time.

And what an idiot Vinnie is. That guitar would've sold for sure and then that's just free money in his pocket...but he has to be insane.

Why, thank you.

I wish I had the opportunity to make money by doing almost nothing just by releasing a few things with my name on them. I wouldn't care if it were $100 or $1000!
