I know how Gene & Paul like to say that this current line-up with Singer and Thayer is the strongest, but for my money GENE-PAUL-ERIC-VINNIE was the strongest musical line-up of KISS ever.

Come on. The dynasty tour line up with New York grove was the best then this line up.

Clearly they were at a live musical zenith at this point with the original members breaking up only because they felt they had achieved a live musical nirvana which could never again be topped by the original four...

Tossing' and Turnin' (an ode to Rick) live is the epitome of rock culture and Kiss at their peak.

How did we forget this awesome time period? Let it never happen again!

the funniest thing is watching a guy dressed as gargoyle trying to look menacing while singing the background "woo-woo-woo" vocals...

kinda reminds of the dudes in TS singing background on this one:  8)

I like Pete's version...but I am relatively sure KISS maybe probably should have never played it in concert.

Dirty livin would have been better and also magic touch better than move on and charisma better than radioactive.

yes, dirty livin, magic touch and charisma all should've been included live on the dynasty tour... save your love would've rocked live too!

or hey, how about a ballad each from the solo albums live (i can't stop the rain, hold me touch me, fractured mirror and when u wish upon a star... gene could've flown to the ceiling!) :P

Yeah save your love over 2000 man or add rocket ride . What a show that would have been. Why didn't they do that ??????

yes rocket ride was even in the top 40 in '79, would've been perfect on the dynasty tour for ace's guitar solo.

I never was crazy about Ace's take on 2,000 Man...and think it's even worse live. Save Your Love is a kick-ass tune and sounds great live. Shoulda been a single and deserved more love than what it got.

I really like the studio version of 2000 Man, fits the album nicely.

Another original tune would have been nice.

Wasn't he doing it on the Anomaly tour? There's gotta be video somewhere.

i dont see any evidence he played it on the last tour.. but if anyone sees anything let me know. As far as I can guess the song has never been played live by Kiss or Ace.

Save Your Love is probably the best song on Dynasty...Hard Times wasn't too bad either. Gene's song's from 1978-1980 were pretty rancid.

Will be in lisbon in a few weeks ironically. 2000 man is my least favourite on dynsdy. Out of control would have been better.

Gotta correct myself... Rocket Ride was in the top 40 in early 1978...

Gene went on a real nosedive creatively for a LONG time. I don't really like much of his music off of Dynasty, Unmasked, Animalize, Asylum or Hot In The Shade. His stuff on Crazy Nights isn't bad...just produced wrong.

It's a great track and it would've fit much better in a KISS concert than 2000 Man, IMO.

Yeah I totally agree The Elder must have focused him or something oh and a certain guy who co wrote with him on Creatures and Lick It Up

I do remember a couple of good ones on HITS too...Love's Like A Slap In The Face/Cadillac Dreams but Paul really had to carry the load songwriting wise in the 80s

EDIT: I think Ozone is my favorite Ace song...the guitar solo in that is one of his best
