Vinnie Was First

Vinnie was the questionable first. He even proved he was dabbling in 2010-2011 when photos of the silver/purple Jackson materialized. Vinnie is still actively pursuing stringless technology per the recent video for Vinnie-Con 2018.

He's certainly big on stringless these days, is our Vinnie. I'm guessing he plays at such warp speed that ordinary guitars with strings are just slowing him down, and this is the next evolutionary step in the quest to be mega fast.

Would that make his crazy solos longer or shorter, tho'?

The length need not change, remember, the song is still playing underneath.
This new stringless way gives us more notes per solo, should that be his wish.
