I will NOT be in attendance.
Derek has stated that 3-4 people are not welcome (straight from the man).
If all of us aren't there then what is the point ?
I want to hang out with EVERYONE from this forum.
There needs to be a photo of Dino, Tommy, Chris C., and myself with Vinnie.
Those are the 4 people I believe who are not welcome.
Things just need to begin and end in one swoop.
Smile, shake hands, and leave on good terms.

That being said, I hope Vinnie starts performing again. He can come out and Rock again or totally reinvent himself.
I still think he should do something no other guitarist has done and release multiple albums in one day of the many styles he has mastered.
Vai, Malmsteen, EVH, Satriani, Wylde,etc... couldn't touch it.
The cash and crowd is there if he wants it.
I just watched Zakk Wylde play Black Sabbath covers to 500 people. He made a pretty penny that day with the sold out crowd, the V.I.P. sales, and the guitars he sold that day. Zakk travels with a ton of those Wylde Audio guitars and sells them for (I believe)$1000.
I believe the same price you get it at GC for, plus he'll scrbible on it for you and hang out a bit.
Profit Profit Profit

Vinnie could do a Hell of a lot better than most of these guys.
Vinnie should do a G3 tour and OWN Satriani in front of his crowd. Build the legend by chopping down the trees that grew in his absence.
I continue to dream...but... feel unwelcome .
I wouldn't want to ruin this for anyone.

:(

Wish he could allow everyone in; forgive and forget anything that's happened, since so many people have forgiven him and are willing to travel to see him.
Also wish it was more specific on who is not allowed to go. Derek should just say the names straight out.

I will be there Friday the 18th. Got a $45 dollar ticket. My name Mike and I live in Denver.

Your idea of Vinnie on a G3 tour is a great one. He would make quite a splash and could even play a few Kiss songs in his set and shred over them. But, no one even knows if THAT Vinnie even exists anymore.

Getting everyone together for that sounds like a great idea. Is your standup gig Fri or Sat?

Rick how can they not let you in? I don't understand. If you have a ticket?
They will not ban people Robert has said way worse than those people on that list and he is a special guest.
There is an unofficial expo venue for after venue anyway.

Thanks for your patience. We had to
upgrade to a bigger space, which required
another event moving to accommodate us,
so we're working hard to wrap up the
contract ASAP (hopefully by Friday the
28th) and make sure our i's are dotted, and
t's are crossed. We want everyone to be
comfortable, but more importantly, safe.

Gahh I know things like these take time and are usually never on schedule, but wish we knew now. Like to know everything ahead of time. Plus plane tickets purchased earlier are cheaper!

I agree. I purchased my airfare earlier today. It came to $120 and change for roundtrip from Cleveland to Atlanta and vice versa with no layover. I will figure out where to stay once the venue is announced. I noticed earlier on lakissexpo.com about hotel pricing @ $129. They haven't announced the actual hotel yet. I am wondering if that price if for a single night or a 3 nights stay.

Rick best bet is the buy a ticket like I did. Surely if they don't want you they will just refund you. There is no way they can sell you a ticket then not let you in after you travel 1000 miles. I would suggest let them refund you if they don't want you there. Sad situation that this is being talked about. I am really unsure what you think you have done to not show at a kiss expo?

Guys i insist, if a blacklist exist, it's because of this forum, because of this idea and because of talking about it.
I that possibility never crossed the mind of Derek or even V, they might be considering it now because of the presumptions
created on this and the other thread.

Derek told me a month or so ago that Vinnie had abut a handful of people he didn't want there.
I would guess it was...
Dino
Tommy
ME
Czynszak (who just got confirmation that , after listening to the latest podcast, VV has approved him)

Hope everybody will be welcome in the end and have a good time,it is impossible for me to come, for many reasons, but would have loved to meet all my fellow forumites.
I think streetbeat has a point, and invading V privacy with references to his family and of the house he lived in was the final nail in the coffin.

On a side note, i would love to have a forum like Scott Henderson's where people just ask guitar related questions or sometimes asked point of views about music and life in general and never even hint at his private life. And Scott answers directly on a regular basis.

Maybe Vinnie don't want that but he will do nothing and take the high road
i feel that's what happened, if not Derek would have sent a blacklist already.

Ummm...
In actuality, we have stopped the casual fans who come here during hot periods ,from speaking about his family, posting certain photographs, spreading rumors, etc...
The forum elder deal with many Private Messages asking for information .
I get more credit than I deserve simply because my mouth mirrors my belly...BIG /HUGE/SEXY.
As for respecting Vinnie's place of residence, I don't believe anyone has ever approached his doorway , knocked, threatened, etc... I know of only a few forum members who went to the old property in Smyrna many months after Vinnie had moved from there. The property was for sale through auction.
Even his recent whereabouts have been kept from this forum.

PB, i'm sure all the things were dealt in the best possible way,and how respectful the elders are.The way i know the "elders" are, i've Always been sure of that.
But please consider that, like in any other forums, all the behind the scenes work is not evident, of course, and how people who only lurk here may have got the wrong impression just by looking at certain pics or comments. It is the nature of any forum.
The forums i was moderator of had the same problem too.I had to deal with crazy requests, lots of complaints and other stuff that, when things were explained in full, simply stopped............because,with a few deranged exceptions, people finally understood.

Gold ticket for Saturday/Sunday here.
hope this doesn't turn into a total shitshow.
Other than autographs, and hearing official announcements on new Vinnie releases and developments, there's very little else besides Vinnie himself why I would go. I'm sure there will be somewhat of a rehash of old questions most of us here already know about. I just want new VV stuff to come out.

Oh yeah, VV is my main and only reason for going...obviously ha.
Everything else going on there, and whoever else may be there (guest wise) I could really care less about.
VV is the main thing; with also meeting the many fellow VV fans I have known on the net for years. It'll be great!

Although I dislike tsotc, they recently did another interview with Derek...
Before it was said that the box set was going to be available AT the Expo (or am I mistaken?)...but now he is saying that it will not be available for another 5-6 months?

I don't remember Derek saying for sure that the box set would be available at the Expo. I do remember him mentioning that Vinnie wanted to make good on the past orders and that he was willing to help him make that happen. I sent an email to Derek about a month ago with all of the original scans that I still have from my original purchase from 1996. He never gave me an answer about the box set being ready for the Expo. I was hoping to have it by January.

Yeah good luck getting a response lol I've had to send several emails before getting one in return. But a busy man he is.
As long as he does make good with those who has purchased the box set...whether at the Expo or after, all that matters.

I happened to catch him at the right time on FB Messenger. I asked him about providing proof of purchase when needed. He immediately responded and said he would love to see what I had. I sent him a reply through Messenger with scans of the original money order, addressed envolopes, letters and the guitar picks I recieved. He then requested for me to send them to his email address. He confirmed that he recieved the images in his email.
