Mark Slaughter and his solo band (consisting of Bobby Rock) will be playing one tune from VVI at the gig on Thursday.
29 years...
Mark has an extreme fondness for ,"That Time Of Year" so let's wait and see/listen .

Cool!
For the Vinnie parts, they should use some playback taken from Vinnie's archives, that would be great!

I don't want to hear Vinnie unless he is standing there in the flesh.
Mark and Bobby ( possibly Dana) will be performing live. Vinnie isn't dead so he doesn't get the Freddie Mercury/John Entwistle/Keith Moon/Dio / etc... treatment.
Suck it up and play !

Vinnie doesn't have to play with them although it would be nice to see him get through the hurt of that ordeal.
It seems like the others know what part they played in the drama and want to rectify things SO...

awesome. let's hope someone posts it up with some decent quality. regardless of what song they do, hopefully it will be done true to the original and not some modern re-make, and the guitar is played correct

Mark was a tad rough in spots but definitely hit the money shot at the end. Bobby was on it. The guitarist was very respectful and was spot on.
Too bad Dana didn't join them but I believe it will eventually happen.
Great to hear that tune live.

It was the song that was most expected, and they delivered.

Having Dana would have been magical.

With those three on board and a decent guitarist, of which there are many, a VVI reunion tour, without the VV is entirely possible.

It's the vocals that matter most, so with the same drummer and bassist they would be way ahead of many actual bands, touring with sometimes the one original member.

Sadly and realistically, Mark or Robert simply couldn't do a full ,or even half , VVI performance.

really cool to see Mark having a good time playing this song, and his comments afterwards as well. then someone in the crowd yells for "Ecstasy". I wonder if Eddie Trunk has seen this, and what his thoughts might be since he seems to have a passionate opinion about anything remotely KISS related.

I wondered why I was having a conversation with myself in the thread in the News Section, then I found this!

Great stuff - and great to hear this tune live. Much of what Mark put down with VVI is very challenging for any vocalist, so I'm surprised he did as good a job as he did after all these years. Would love to see him pull out more tunes and add them to whatever sets he does in the future.

maybe Fleischman could up the ante and do "No Substitute" or "Back On The Streets" on his upcoming solo tour.
Bobby Rock will also be one of the guest musicians on his upcoming solo CD.
