Vinnie should come out and explain the reason behind him changing at least 3 rr v's after kiss to pink headstocks just to clarify when and why. I think in boys are gonna rock video he had one rr v with pink headstock.. That's the one he threw I think. I could see him changing one for that video to match the vv model one he was using.

If anyone can get a clean still from guitar at end of boyz are gonna rock video ( one he smashes and puts into amp) this may be the florida one. It's been made to look like vv model but it's an rr v with pink headstock and fake shadow v

Now this is even weirder. Reverse shark inlays but black headstock with new logo. The others had gold original logo Image

I have close up but dont have time to upload

My guess is this is not a gold one. I think vv may have had one more reverse inlay one but maybe he got it after he left kiss. Or for this ad jackson wanted new logo and changed it. If that's the case why did he change headstock 3 times?

It would be so easy and nice to know.

P.S. No one in that ad could be proud of the clothes they were wearing!!!

To me pink on the jackson ad is same as pink on the hard rock/juliens ones. However the first 3 pink ones from liu to me seemed to be a warmer more red pink. Could just be light temperature though.

I think there is a picture of vv with a pink headstock dot inlay jackson somewhere to add to the mystery. I think it's from namm 84 or 85 after he left kiss. Can not find it just now.

The '96 KISS convention Rhoads had a pink headstock, though it was missing the neck p/u but that's no biggie.

Not thinking of that photo where Vinnie's hold some guy's tiger stripe Rhoads?

By 96 Vinnie's Rhoads guitars were suspect to me. I always thought to myself, where the hell did he pick up that guitar from? I did not associate it with his 80's guitars, it looked like some crap he picked up super cheap at the time.

Vinnie like to sell his guitars to Hard Rock Cafes... I think he bought ten or twenty RR1 in the nineties and sold them occasionally to get some cash...

If it's pink resprayed headstocks, then who did the job? It seems to be well done, Vinnie couldn't do that by himself.

I'd say those pink headstocks have never been resprayed. Maybe Jackson offered those to Vinnie during VVI days?

It's clear that all the pickguards are different to kiss ones, all controls in different places or different configurations or different controllers, different paint jobs, different logos, all have non original tremolo and I think pick ups are not original either. What's really sealing the lie to me is he says the juliens guitar has original concert played strings in it. So for that to happen he woukd have had trem removed as it's 100% certain he never used that type of tremolo that's in the juliens guitar, then had pick guard removed, then had position of vol controls moved around, then holes filled, new pickguardand new paint, change color of headstock and hardware .... But then after ALL THAT he decided to put back a used set of strings from the last kiss showche played. So firstly why make changes if putting back old strings? Why spend all that money to have it just sit forever? The original strings claim seals the deal that the juliens guitar is one big lie after another.

What we know 100% is vv never had fine tuning tremolo in kiss or vvi. What we know is he never had pink headstock in kiss and I believe that he never had any guitar with same control set up as juliens guitar (and hard rock ones too). So based on that (I know vv told juliens he had hard time with tremolo so switched to the fine tuners one on juliens but this was never used or photographed with kiss) so then we believe he had paint changed, tremolo and controls changed after kiss which is true. Like i said never seen in kiss. So to put original stage played strings back on after all these mods is total bullshit. Complete lie. I will hopefully find owner of this guitar and pass on the info. Then they can do research.

Even if just one of thrse mods like changing tremolo or headstock paint why would he go through trouble of looking after stage played strings and putting back on? If he never intended to play it again I coukd see maybe putting old strings back on but if he didbt intend to play why do all the mods? It's totalling ridiculous and fraud. It's fraud on two counts. One he did not claim this guitar or any in juliens auction in his bankruptcy declarations and two it's fraud because the description is not correct at all.

Exactly Dino, none of his guitars are just as they were last played in KISS. The trems on them were not made until 1987 either.

Yes so concert played strings put onto a post 1987 tremolo. Total bs. My theory that he had some bought to smash in boys are gonna rock video could fit. He made that one look like a vv model with fake shadow fin. He smashed one and put one through an amp. Most likely bought some cheap rr v's for boys are gonna rock on video budget and had them painted to.match his vv model with pink headstocks etc. I find it hard to.believe he smashed his prototypes for that video
