An honest tribute

Post by poserboy71 »

I took my VV model to the Slaughter show last night. Mark agreed to play it. In fact, he played it a few times in the set . They actually enjoyed the sight of the guitar and posed together while rockin' out on stage.
He said something to the effect of, "It's been a long while since I've played one of those pink things, I thank you for that."

I figure it will get a lot of positive attention on the internet.I did it so people will investigate Vinnie's music.
Mark even mentioned VVI during his introduction of Dana Strum.

Mark's voice sounded better than it has in recent history. A little rough here and there but he went after some killer notes and was able to hit them cleanly.

As for having Mark and Dana sign the guitar, I didn't ask them to.
I feel that it would be disrespectful to Vinnie in a weird way. Vinnie should be the person to sign it first.

No disrespect but Mark doesn't look well or healthy here. Is he ok?

Very cool. Very, very cool. Nice to see he can let bygones be bygones.
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

I was kind of working the show so I kept somewhat of a distance. After the show, they pulled an Elvis and got the fuck out of Dodge. I would have talked with them then but at least we captured a good moment or two, RIGHT ? 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D

After soundcheck, I showed the guitar to Scott, Slaughter's tech. I snapped a photo of him with the guitar and he sent it to Mark. Scott put 10 gauge strings on the guitar and set it up for being tuned a half step down.
Mark got to the show and wanted to play it on stage. He grabbed it a few times. I believe he would have played it the entire night but he keeps his commitments to the guitar maker he endorses and played a few tunes on his other guitar as well.

For some reason, at the 1:35 mark in the video ,the hot chica to my right takes a picture with me. I thought she was showing me a cool photo on her phone and she ended up snapping a pic. I have no clue who she thought I was.

Not sure what Vinnie looks like now but he might have earned a little(or big in my case) belly in the last few years.

Very cool pictures, thanks for sharing. It's cool that he played the guitar on stage

However, this also shows that thieves prosper (looking at you TJ)
