Vinnie on being arrested

Post by doublev2 »

That night I was awaken to over 15 police with rifles aimed at me and helmets and metal jackets. I remember asking them if they were going to kill me and there was nothing but commands and then silence. I was handcuffed and taken away. I wake everyday remembering being thrown in a prison cell for something I did not do. What I remember most was that the cell was very small and all cement, no windows, electric locking door, no bars to see outside and very very cold. No pillow to rest my head, just a steel slab to lay on, a toilet and sink. No toilet paper. I remember trying to sleep but was so cold that the chattering of my teeth kept me awake. My future was uncertain and that was what frightened me the most, but as hard as it is for me to believe, I have been through worse. So I put my life in God's hands that night and with the loving care from a good friend I walked free and saw the sky again.

Its funny but before I finally fell asleep that night I remembered a song I loved so much when I was small that lived with me until my later years that I want to share with you. I got me though that night and let me see the sky again. When you feel your life slipping away say these words and hopefully you will think of me and feel better:

Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
In the land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops that’s where you’ll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
If happy little bluebirds fly above the rainbow, why oh why can’t I?

if vinnie didn't do this like he claims, then why is his wife not in trouble? Although it must be very scary walking out in front of 15 guys with machine guns. Its like one little slip and you could be shot dead.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. Sounds to me like he was looking for sympathy...

What did the police say when an imaginary Spyder gave them a pretend $1000?
Open your window and see the real world
To know what you've been missing
Come out of the shadows
Insecurity lies
In a heart afraid to listen

i think the fans paid for his release , in advance , back in 1996 when the box set payments
got into his pocket , now he was able to use PART of that money.

I was so upset when he told this I felt for him. It was hard at that time for me knowing he was alone. Now I know he needs help.
If you see me fallen and endless fall
If you hear me calling a never ending call
If you see me bleeding I'm losing control
If you see me dying I'm dying alone.

It's heart breaking apart from the totally innocent part. We all know that fights in marriage are quite common but the fact he says he didn't do it negates the whole sad story for me.

True. I wasn't there, but if Diane came in bloodied and battered then SOMETHING went down. Vinnie's track record with lying pretty much weighs against him, so you gotta think... why would he not lie about this and play the victim (yet again). I do feel bad for him because it all probably revolved around alcohol and I know how things can escalate with that involved. It'd just be nice not to see him play the victim all the time and own up to his mistakes.

And yes, jail cells DO suck... but they're supposed to so you won't wanna come back. What'd he think? The cops were gonna tuck him in and sing him a lullaby?
