Vinnie has stated that his new work, Guitars From Hell would take off from where the first Invasion record left off, but it sounds to me like an extension of ASG, with a bit of the vibe/craziness of Invasion thrown in.
Vocal work like the background chants are very reminiscent of ASG.
Also the triple harmony leads remind me of ASG.
Even the production from what I can tell is closer to ASG than Invasion.
No matter cause it's awesome and I can't wait to hear it in perfect quality, it just doesn't sound like the first album.

I feel exactly the same way. Had the super-slick sound of ASG with some of the first VVI in there, but more ASG.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

i think he kind of was meaning its not going to be as controlled as asg. i think ASG had some very good tunes but maybe it could have been mixed with the original VV style to make a more perfect record.
I think Invincible would be a 3 minute tune on ASG and I hope it would stay 7 minutes plus on GFH Final Mix and on the first record I think he would have kept it long too. But please with real drums!!! If no real drums I can not listen to it and I'll just listen to the unmixed low quality versions.

Sorry, I do not here ASG anywhere besides the fact that it's Vinnie playing.
Here is how it was described to me back in 1990 and exactly what it sounds like: The first Invasion disc meets Queensryche.
It's like the first Invasion disc, but more progressive.
C'mon Vinnie! I've been waiting 20 fucking years to hear this in mint quality!
