Well done Dino!!!! I guess that's the ad that Rick has been pulling his ass hairs out trying to find!!!!!!

I believe the guitar is white/gold just like the Carvin and Washburn.

This is the poster. The magazine ad said in small print next to Vinnie : "Vinnie Vincent -Guitar Hero"

Sammy posted this under Dean Markley ad. Great find and thank you guys for posting it.

Maybe you're correct Dino. I've had it in my head for so many years that it was white/gold that it's hard to see otherwise even if the colors are blatant. Shit, If I recall correctly, I initially thought he was on a park bench with a dog flying by him. I think I mixed a few Dean Markley ads up in my head.

They blew it up a bit on KissFAQ . It looks white/gold.

White /purple would look equally stunning though.

for a short while Dean MarKley produced a series of amp, mostly small combos, some solid state, like the one called "Dream Maker" some tube, and also a valve distortion pedal called "The overlord".

You may find some infos on harmonycentral user rewiew page, amps section ,page 31 onwards.

I think it was just an ad, not a real endorsement.Common paratcice years ago.

maybe, but i am sure vv was somewhat using the stuff.. he wasn't really that big of a name in 1990 to just be picked out of random. i think he must have been using some Dean Markley stuff.

teej wrote:bollocks

I had trouble understanding this due to some differences in the way the English language is used 7,000 miles apart but the best that I can tell is that Trevor thinks this is bull shit and not Vinnie?

Mr. Johnson please explain yourself. You don't think that this was Vinnie in 1990 minus his wig? I'm getting old but it looks like Vinnie to this old man's dying eyes.

"Bollocks!""Bollocks!" can be used as a stand-alone interjection to express strong disagreement. It dismisses a statement as nonsense, similar to the American "bullshit", but much stronger in its emphasis and implications. This can be expanded, for example, to "What a complete and utter load of bollocks!" An expression with a similar meaning is "Yer ballax!" (You're bollocks). Sometimes bollocks! is combined with an abbreviated version of the original statement, for instance: "It was your fault" - "Bollocks, it was!" (It certainly was not); or "Did England win last night?" - "Did they bollocks!" (No, they did not) or "Pubs are shit in Atherton and Westhoughton." — "Are they bollocks, there's good ones in Westhoughton!"

if it looks like a ____, if it smells like a ____, if it feels like a ____, it must be one.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.

As said, must be him as they couldn't put his name on it otherwise, but you can his same expression in this photo from the LIU tour if you enlarge it (sorry can't work out how to grab image only!):
