Bobby Rock to play with Mark Slaughter again

Post by aeroflott »

Picked up this little snippet from Bobby's Facebook page today:
Looking forward to playing with my bro again at the first-ever Mark Slaughter solo show - June 22 in NYC - in support of his killer new release, “Halfway There.” Bad-ass band, featuring Mike Himmel on guitar and Jaymi Millard on bass:

June 22 - Gramercy Theater - NY, NY
He posted this with a picture of him and Mark from VVI days.

Cool stuff - anyone in the NY area here? Would love to hear about the show if you can make it.

Yeah saw this. Very cool.
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

Yes,

It is cool.
I was lucky to see Bobby play with Slaughter a few years back. I believe it was a Poison tour.
It means nothing if some are thinking that Vinnie is enticed by this.

I agree. And I have long come to this conclusion.

Vinnie will never play again. Ironically he has not played live since 1988 with slaughter. Unless you include those kiss expo miming sessions. 29 years without playing a gig for someone with so much talent. How wrong is that. Health reasons surely are the reason behind this.

A nice update from Bobby on this on his Facebook page this morning!
Look who Mark Slaughter and I ran into at the hotel restaurant tonight: One Mr. Dana Strum! Over three decades later, "The Three Musketeers" are still out here doin' it. Dana's hittin' in town tomorrow night with Vince Neil; Mark and I will be throwin' it down at his solo show at Dingbatz in Clifton, after Vince's set. Should be a great night of music around these parts.

But more to the point, he added this!
Will there be a VVI tune in the set with Mark? I would say the odds are favorable...

And here's the pic. (L-R) Dana, Mark and Bobby. Almost a reunion!

I'm looking forward to hearing (and seeing) what goes down at the show. Please someone film it!

Also take a look at Mark Slaughter's Facebook page. There's a video on there were he and the band confirm they will be playing VVI tunes at the show.
