Well, well, well! Both have had a pull up route added (the first one looks huuuuuge) but they both appear to be sporting old NFT Floyds and appropriate pickups and controls! Hmmm... we may well be onto some genuine stuff here.

Good pick up Dr.

Looks like the real deal on both counts. Both even have the NFT Floyd on them . If Vinnie was still strumming, one would think he would be hoarding the NFT bridges. Maybe the auction house forced him to put the authentic stuff on them after a few VVFF members called them ?

Hah!

NFT Floyds are back in production, so no need to horde them anymore.

True but those look like the original trems. Something to be said for the real deal.

So the prices of these guitars start at 4000$ and 10000$. I still don't understand how come the AZG went for 2000$, even though the starting price was 5000$. Are those starting prices for real? Anybody can explain?

Sorry, I call bullshit. It seems every Jackson Vinnie ever touched went back to Jackson for bullshit reasons, some even twice.

Where is he finding these guitars?

There is NO way Jackson would have performed that nasty trem route on the dot inlay guitar, that is beyond a joke. And of course when they repainted it, for no reason, and put in that swimming pool trem route, they updated the logo, cause guitars are like cars, when you bring them in for a service you get the logo updated, like when your car gets its software updated to the latest when you bring it in to the dealer. I know I can't wait to get my headstocks redone when I take them to my guy for a setup.

The second guitar we know could not have been used on Creatures, he only had reverse sharkfin guitars on that tour. So saying it went back to Jackson first to get painted pink is crap, and therefore it probably didn't have to go back to get the headstock/logo redone either, as it should be a black headstock with a white logo for the Lick It Up/All Hell's Breaking Loose guitar.

And then, a quick search finds this thread: http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/26434- ... s-question

RR0213 is not anything like this guitar it seems??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

What's this a new auction with different guitars?

Yes. Possibly the LIU Rhoads and the other is the dot neck Rhoads that was used in the CotN promo photos when it was white. Both have been hacked up a bit especially the dot neck one.

All these auctions make me highly doubt he plans on recording anything new. Purely speculation of course, but if he's selling all his guitars off, kinda seems like he gave up.

If I could've afforded any of these though, Id've gone for the Pear. Whoever got that is one lucky bastard. I'm surprised the IRS hasn't raised a stink, didn't he claim not to have any of these in his bankruptcy proceedings?

If you like those terrific Pear Guitars (AZG) why don't you go to the AZG Guitars Section here and ask Tom Palecki what is available currently to buy or what he can build you?

I think that you might be able to get a great custom guitar at a great price versus those auction prices

For your consideration,

Kev

Hopefully a big chunk of it will get sent to Tom! Clear debts and the deck, Vinnie. Clean slate, fresh start.

Sammy, did the dot neck price move at the auction? I looked the other day and it had an online bid of $6000 pre auction I thought? May have been $5000 though, hence me asking. Either way, it was too high for me.

With the ''LIU'' Rhoads going for $20000, I would have thought the first dot neck Rhoads ever built, would have gone for a touch more?

Happy for him that he has a little monetary cushion. We can hope that he would make amends and do right by a certain people but we have wished for those things for many years. We have asked for a retirement statement, apologies to certain fans and guitar bulders, etc...
To do so anymore would be spinning the wheels of our crazy train even further.

Let's just be happy for the Vinnie and continue to put forth positive energy towards him and people like Tom Palecki. We will get Mr. Palecki's work out there and drum up some well deserved business for him .

Good eye, i noticed the same, so he swapped the VVV PU to the dot inlay, he is sold it with the wrong parts.

I have to admit that your detective work is impressive. The PU Ring has the same bow to it as well.

Yes, the poles look the same on the neck p/u on the dot neck as they do on the VVV bridge p/u.

Those two pink ones are in quite bad condition. It looks like the metal parts are rusted.

on the pink one there are three holes near the top right of the scratchplate.....two adiacent ones and, lower, another one on the top right of the pickguard, plus you can see the pickup routing hole on the top between the tip of the pu ring and the fretboard.......like the neck pu wasn't properly placed...

I wonder who bought it. You know it may say sold but it may not have. Many factors like it may say sold for everything that doesn't meet the reserve etc. I don't think we can say 100% the guitar sold.

I can't see that, that's what happening here. Very happy that Vinnie is getting some serious dough for his old fleet of guitars. I'll be ecstatic when Vinnie sends a decent wad to Tom for his hard work!

Has anyone ever figured out how many Pink Jackson RR's Vinnie owned? The more I read on it, it gets more confusing.

It was pointed out to me that one of the Pink RR's sold last year had a Kahler trem cutaway and not one you would have for a floyd. This really brings up a new batch of questions about one of those guitars.
