White rr v juliens auction.
White rr v juliens auction.
Are we supposed to believe this is vv's white v from kiss? Top from juliens auction bottom from kiss

When it comes to Vinnie and his old guitars who knows what to believe....maybe he thinks no pictures exist from the Kiss days and he can say whatever he wants?

juliens may have used stock photos also....
Re: White rr v juliens auction.
Floyd Rose becomes a fixed bridge? I doubt it!

No way you can use a photo that isn't what people are buying.roustabout23 wrote:juliens may have used stock photos also....
This is the guitar Vinnie represented as a Kiss one, just another lie.

Always thought this one,
became this one,
No headstock logo in the pre-tour promos for CoTN and no way would a white guitar look any good with all that black leather they were wearing at the time!

Different controls, different pick ups, jackson logo gold on black. The white looks to be a very standard one. Why change it after kiss? Also I dont believe that black guitar was gigged more than a few times. Vv without a vibrato live with kiss? No way. So most much scratching.

Juliens didn't say it was black and used the stock photo above

So shram I have to believe vv had black repainted. Controls changed after lick it up tour, pick ups changed BUT vv opted to change original cooler gold. Jackson logo to white and re painted rest of the headstock black. Vv at time of supposed re sprays after was having headstocks painted painted same color as body and the original white also had white headstock but your telling me vv was so determined to have his gold logo removed he had headstock re done with stock jackson. Also it's clear even to vv the guitar had more value unchanged and he was never going to gig with a non Floyd jackson anyway so what's the point?

Also bridge seems very different from juliens to black as blurry as the picture is.

He said that only used on creatures tour shram so not the black one. Vv could not confirm how many shows. It never was photographed on creatures tour and wrong logo for era. That guitar never used on creatures tour and by the known lies of original strings he is saying never resprayed so it's as is from creatures tour. B.s.
A Vinnie Vincent stage used Jackson Randy Rhoads electric guitar. Shark fin shape in white finish, dot inlays. This guitar was among the many used this early in Kiss's Creatures of the Night tour in 1982 although it is unclear as to the number of performances. Vincent was waiting on his final Jackson Vinnie Vincent model guitars to be built and was encountering tuning problems with the guitars he had been loaned from Jackson that had whammy bars. The Jackson company sent this non-whammy model guitar for Vincent to use in the meantime. The guitar has the original strings used on the Creatures of the Night tour. Accompanied by a fitted hardshell case. A link to an online image of Vincent a similar guitar in full KISS makeup is available upon request.

He was waiting for his Vinnie Vincent model guitars? They would only come years later.
Strange mistake to make.

Re: White rr v juliens auction.
No, I agree the handtail at the auction is a suspect guitar. It looks, IMO, exactly the same as the day it left the factory! Which judging by the logo, was not until after the CoTN tour.
I was commenting that the white Floyded guitar was painted black before being used onstage. White would have looked awful on stage.
Vinnie did use a black hardtail on CoTN tour though but it was also a dot neck like the Floyded one.
Some might give Vinnie the benefit of the doubt that he got the black hardtail mixed up with that white hardtail..... sadly, most are probably right in thinking he didn't get them mixed up!

he doesn't get them mixed up. I am certain of that. He didn't give juliens the amount of times it was used live so I guess why it sold for under $3000 but still that guitar is not from Creatures era and also never photographed especailly if it still has original strings.

Re: White rr v juliens auction.
Hard to tell but the auction guitar looks like it has white neck binding which would completely rule out it being the same guitar as this one. Changing P/Us and pick guard is easy, neck binding is a major job.

Re: White rr v juliens auction.
Generally if a Jackson had dots it had no binding and was a Student version, otherwise it was sharkfins and binding and it was a Custom. But as they were all custom ordered anything is possible.

Re: White rr v juliens auction.
Yeah I'd agree with that. Just kinda looks like there's binding as there seems to be a different shade of white along the edge of the board on the last few frets. But only guessing.

Re: White rr v juliens auction.
Yes the white auction guitar, apart from the brass knobs, looks exactly the same as the guitar featured in the 1983 Jackson catalogue.

That guitar was never photographed with vv. If it was used in kiss it was a one off and never photographed
