Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

I've listened to just over 30 minutes and I'm really liking it! It's getting late so I will hopefully finish the rest tomorrow. I'm in the middle of the part where Vinnie is accused of ripping off the song "On The Run." Can't wait to listen to the rest and hear part 2. Good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Wonder if Vinnie will listen to this and what will be going through his mind. LoL!

I just listened to the whole hour & it is awesome!!! I didn't know the Keli Raven story?? Rik & Keli both gave great insight into the situations that involved VV so it was very informative :D

I can't wait for part 2!!! Nice work Chris!

Listening now. Very cool that Vinnie is invited to come on and set the record straight according to himself.

Little chance he will but the offer is there. That's classy.

Chris that was AWESOME. Man I cringed a few times listening to certain bits. I don't know if I feel bad for VV or I was embarrassed to be a 'FAN'. I still love the music, but the person VV really needs to take for inventory of his morals.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

I just checked my stats for the feed of my podcast and this episode alone has been downloaded over 300 times since Midnight!!! I'm literally in shock!

I guess Vinnie's still got quite a few folks still interested.

I thank you all again for the positive feedback! It means the world to me and pushes me to keep working at it.

You guys are the greatest!

This will get hundreds of downloads Chris, Vinnie is such an enigma & this podcast is giving people an idea about how Vinnie operates... Keli & Rik sound like cool guys, it's a shame Rik got shafted so badly..

Thanks again Chris, part 2 is gonna be great!!

TRIVIA QUESTION

Anyone know what the fastest selling Record in Chrysalis Records history is?

(btw what does that really mean if you think about it, could it be the first day of sales, first week, first month, year ????)

Here's SIN's ONTHE RUN. Well, theres similarity in first guitar riff but otherwise its completely differnt song. I wouldn't go to court over this. VV & guys could have thank Rik for the inspiration though.

I can't believe that song didn't have any impact?! It's a great track that's up there with Ratt & Crüe & was in the same vein as the 80's Hard Rock of the era...

Chris, that was bloody brilliant.
nicely done and very proffesional.
I like your style!
Maybe this stuff will really take you places :D

.....I thought that Rik hesitated alot during his account, maybe getting it right to make it sound good, or some of it total bollocks? I guess we'll never know...

Thanks again everybody for the kind words and I'm thrilled that you love the episodes! I certainly hope that this will help propel the podcast further. We've had over 1,000 downloads since Friday! I'm pretty amazed by that.

As for Keli Raven, I found him after seeing his post on Rik's facebook wall about being ripped off by Vinnie and contacted him through facebook. I took what he said at face value and played it on the show. I haven't pressed him too hard on it but I may ask some more questions. He seems like a genuinely nice guy to me.

Great podcast and great information!
If the stuff about him blatantly stealing Raven's gear is true, he's more of a turd than I ever imagined. Not delivering on the boxset is one thing. There could be lots of reasons something like that could go south. But to out and out steal something from someone...unbelievable.

it sems that he had somehting in common with Ace about that.......... according to some rumours.......

hanks for an excellent work,WK!

TO make it perfect , it would be nice-if it is possible- is to hear somebody talking nice about V, not only as musician. This way nobody  could say that the interviews seem to be geared.

A few guys say great things about vinnie, true its only fair to add some good comments about vinnie as a person.Hard to find mind you. I thought ed Roman through all the issues vinnie and him was nice to say he was a goid guy underneath. I don't really believe it but it was cool in my opinion. I think genebaby should invite some people.with positive things to say about him. No one says he isn't talented as a musician mind you.

I tried to say some good stuff about him as a musician/writer and I think some of the folks interviewed also mentioned his talent. Honestly, it's hard to find positive quotes about him as a person.

Hilly Michaels said some nice things about him in an e-mail exchange but didn't want to go on record officially so I couldn't include it.

Funny how someone didn't want to go on record as saying nice things.

Would have been cool to get Hilly's perspective of 70's Vincent Cusano.

It was an innocent time for Vinnie before the industry got a hold of him, sunk the teeth in and bled him dry...

The whole Kiss experience should have taught him a thing or two but unfortunately he had problems after Gene & Paul that ultimately cost him his career... The Legal battle was probably a mistake, but it must have been hard for Vinnie to let go of it because he believed in what he was pursuing... He has put his career on hold to chase compensation from Kiss...

He didn't HAVE to put his career on hold to pursue his lawsuit. He chose to. People, artists, and musicians sue all the time without quitting their jobs.

Very similar stuff to what Vinnie sued for, unpaid royalties and miss-management of record production if I remember right. The Solo albums all "shipped" platinum cause they made a million copies of each but then there was a glut and they ended up in the discount bin pretty quick.

Kiss basically also bit the hand that fed them, and along with some bad real estate investments were doing quite badly by the time Vinnie came along.

Even for Animalize and Asylum, they needed to tour just to make money and stay afloat.

It's all in Chris Lendt's book, he was like the tour accountant, it's a great read.
