In case you noticed that the domain for the VVFF was down it was a hosting error.
It seems that paying a registration renewal does not automatically do this, they need to do it manually and it wasn't done until I got in touch with support.
November is the anniversary of vvforums.com bit I think it was about 10 days ago so I thought everything was ok. Then it died!
Something to look out for next year, I will make sure they renew on their end.
