I am hearing that drugs and alcohol were involved in Gary's death, that he choked on his own vomit Bon Scott style. I really hope that is not the case.

God, how tragic. Going on "holiday" and dying in your own vomit. Where is the class in that?

At his age too. It must be pretty hard life however. You get great perks but also if you are struggling what the hell do you do. It's not like you can change careers. Also a lot of these rock stars have no pensions. I kind of feel for the famous guys who don't have much money.. you get kind of trapped.

New Conflicting Report Claims That Gary Moore Died Of A Suspected Heart Attack

According to Mirror.co.uk, legendary guitarist Gary Moore died of a suspected heart attack, a postmortem revealed on Monday, February 7th.

Moore died in his sleep yesterday morning, hours after checking into the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Estepona on the Costa del Sol, Spain with an unnamed female friend. He was 58 years old.

While forensic experts are satisfied Moore died from natural causes, they requested further tests on tissue samples taken from his body ahead of a final report.

A Spanish police spokesman said today, "Mr. Moore died of natural causes and his death is not in any way suspicious. An investigating magistrate has opened a standard inquiry to determine the exact cause of death."

British tabloid The Sun reported earlier today — apparently erroneously — that Moore choked on his vomit after knocking back champagne and brandy before being discovered around 4 a.m.

Well I hope that is what happened! But still, lifestyle may have contributed to his early exit!

official cause at the time of my writing was still natural causes, not heart attack, and certainly not drugs and booze.

I read an interview once where Vincent Cusano said that he liked and respected Gary Moore as a guitarist. See there is actually something that we all have in common.

Reminds me of a bad marriage where one spouse loves and the other despices. Totally out of whack!

I don't believe that the Grammy Awards didn't pay respect to Gary in the memorial section of the program.
