Jem Contest winner

Post by shramiac »

Did anyone enter the design the 77777 Jem contest? The winner is now up on ibanez.com.

http://www.ibanez.co.jp/JEMUV/winner.html

BUT there are protests that the winner broke the rules by using art that was not designed specifically for the contest!!!!??? I actually think, although the designs are well done and more artistic than my entry, are f#*kin ugly! But I suppose as it's a guitar that will just hang from a wall, artistic is what they were after.

I did not enter, I don't follow Ibanez guitars much, I don't have any.

I can see why Steve picked that one, I'm not fond of the floral jem, that was a guitar I wouldn't be seen dead with.

Yeah, I can totally see Steve playing that, but not me, though I prefer that to the Floral.

The white jem with gold hardware is nice.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of those colour combos. Either by themselves, yes, but not together. It's very Ibanez, all those coloured pickups.

I'll play anything that feels good for the right price. If it's a deal, I have a hard time passing it up. I always stay close to the local crackheads so I can scoop up their instruments when the need a fix. Sad but true.

I like any and all guitars from the subtle to the obnoxious. There will always be room in my collection for them all. I'm forever on the hunt.
