best metal drummer

Post by doublev2 »

For me Dean Castronovo is best. His solos are not boring and he is very funny guy.

I would take him over bobby rock even.
Kerrang reported he was favourite to join kiss replacing eric Carr. I think they didn't choose him according to bk because he was too young at time.
For me the best rock drummer

Mike Mangini for me because he can play anything. Remember him on the Vai tour in 2000 eating hot chips with his right hand while doing a roll with his left.

Current solo with Dream Theater. Bummed I can't see them this month. Too busy at work this time of year.

Went to a Mangini clinic last week after seeing Dream Theater the night before! Awesome night and he's a very, very humble guy. he has different views on how you should be taught! Learn 19/8, 17/8, 15/8 etc BEFORE learning 3/4 & 4/4 because once you can groove to the odd times, the other stuff is waaaaaaaay easier!

Sorry, awesome two nights! :D

AJ is a pretty good drummer! He kicks #ss on the new Adrenaline Mob CD.

Loved Clive too. Having my mother pass from MS, I can say with surety that Clive's indifferent performances on the Beast on the Road tour in 1982 that lead to him being sacked would have been from the first symptoms of the disease making its appearance.
