So on June 26th due to the CITES law it will be illegal to sell any guitar or anything else with Brazilian rosewood with out documentation that it was made pre band 1992 but if you had a repair on a 1959 Gibson Les paul "value $100,000 plus" to say the Brazilian fret board in 2010 where wood was added the guitar is considered a 2010 and after the ban and cannot be sold. Brilliant !!
I get not wanting to kill out a species of tree.... but now you have to have a ass load of paperwork to sell a guitar? And all that has to happen is some bureaucrat or shipper says paper work not in order its seized and good luck ever getting it back.

Re: CITIES LAW ALERT
Lawyers did........this is how a lot of the "eco friendly" legislation is. The prime example being the Endangered Species Act, which forbides you from building on a plot of land that has a few of a endangered species on it but there are no such restrictions on building on the plot of land next door that is full of said animals. Also, you cannot sell the land to anyone since any lawyer who negotiates the contract will know the land is worthless and will tell both parties involved.
Yet lawyers wonder why people hate them
