Re: car porn
that was my first car.............there were different models, and also a new version called 126 bis that was a failure.
I went to Greece with one similar to the one you've posted here.
Came back too!

Geez that Rancho looks like the car Homer designed for his step brother's company that bankrupted it!

Re: car porn
Rancho is my favourite car. They were famous for having rust as new.its badically a pick up truck that they added 5 seats in the back (7 seats in total). The problem was if it rained lots of passage ways for rain to get trapped in and rust out most of car. Also I am affraid to turn corners or drive over 40. Has a great Talbot engine though. At time of rancho talbot engines were winning f1.

different models labeled 126 were made during the 70's/80's.
The best one was the 126 personal 4 with some moquette in the interior and a 650 cc engine.
It was sort of top of the line. The 126 bis had a waterbased cooling system and it never worked properly.
The orginal one had this engine that was basically air cooled.Never overheated and great for slanting roads.
The baggage area( in the front) was basically good for storing a pizza, maybe two.
The model i drove was basically an hybrid.A few funny accidents happen during the time i did use it.
A couple of examples:
When i was in Greece, it was so hot that the odometer needle didn't work,i had to put a wet cloth on the top of it,just like you do with people
Since mine had the licence plate like the one Dino owns,a policeman wanted to give me a fine for moving the plate ,i had to explain that if he wanted to do that, the fine should be addressed to the Fiat factory .He forgot that the car came out of the factory like this.
The 126 was pèerfect for the city, you could park it everywhere.Once a man i knew waited for me until i did come out of the car(it was parked in a SMALL place between two other cars) and asked me"how did you do it?"
The 127 had different models, those cars had a good engine.
I think the trevi you are referring could be Lancia Beta trevi(trevi was a short for "three volumes).
The Lancia Beta consisted in three models, the Beta(different shape, short tail),the beta trevi and the Beta Montecarlo that was a sport car, more aggressive in the shape and in the engine, also used during the rallies.
A dream car from that time was the lancia Stratos:

Re: car porn
Yeah Stratos is good. I liked the Fulvia a lot too. Also big fan of the 80s Alfa Romeo GTV And Alfa Sud Sprint.
Also love Fiat Ritmo
Matra Simca --- all were great!!!! boxy ones included. I have to say I am not a huge French car guy but Simca was italian and matra/talbot french (even though some people say talbot was british and originally they were).

Re: car porn
I was thinking if the Alfa GTV just 10 mins ago, cause I went past a new GT in the car park. My uncle had the Alfa Sud in the 80's.
I looked up the GTV6 online a few months aho and noticed the low Km's on some and realised they must have only an 100k odometer so it's hard to gauge the true mileage.
