Re: Me Chinese, Me Play Joke...
Unfortunately.
I read somewhere that Jackson said they didn't plan to make any VVV guitars. Is it because of Vinnie and his rights? If Vinnie said now to Jackson "ok, let's make 500 signature models", do you think they would agree to do the job?

Re: VV Guitars in upcoming Auction
So the prices of these guitars start at 4000$ and 10000$. I still don't understand how come the AZG went for 2000$, even though the starting price was 5000$. Are those starting prices for real? Anybody can explain?

Cool!
What's the story behind this guitar? When was it made? Is it repainted? First hand? Is it a real US Jackson?
Just curious, you see

I saw Orianthi playing with Alice Cooper two or three years ago, she had a great presence on stage. I got a pick she threw at the audience, then I exchanged it with a Special Forces pick... Orianthi's pick was more romantic...

Was it Vinnie playing the solo? It sounds a little bit different from the record. If it's not him, it's very well done.

Re: vv body?
Those companies seem to sell one-piece bodies. For this VV model I think it's better to do like Tom Palecki (if I remember it correctly, he glued some of the fins), and you get very solid and pointy fins that way. You can also get an old japanese Jackson model, a saw, lots of screws, some pieces of ...

Yes, I got it for 600 $, mint, with a TKL US case. The original price was 1050 $ in 2008, lowered at 850 $ after a while from what I've seen on the net. The Anderson Madcat was more expensive (2500 $ approx.), and it was made in Japan, for the japanese market. There were two or three Madcats on eBay...

Thanks but I don't think I'm some sort of a genius. I'm just monomaniac sometimes. Now I'm really into beat division (jazz chords too). Vinnie and his beat division
Vinnie seemed to hit the last note of each beat division with a chicken picking note. Among those divisions, which ones are his favorites? It would be interesting to check some transcriptions (Wolf Marshall for example) divisions of the beat in x/4 time signatures is: • 1 quarter note (1) • 2 eighth...

I like the version on the Animalize video. Yes it's quite good, a bit fast, vocals are close to the studio version. That was 1984, not so long after the album, so the spirit was still there. Even though Bruce plays ok, Vinnie's missing! Gene's wig is awful. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I...

I don't know why, I've never liked that song played live. Same feeling as for example when the Stones play Jumpin' jack flash live : I love the original recording and the video, but no live version.

No, that guitar comes from South Corea and it's new. Smith has been using it for maybe 15 years or more. In the early eighties he had mainly Jazzmasters or Fender guitars. Great Cure concerts when Porl Thompson plays. There was also a Schecter Thompson model years ago.
