Re: Post Pictures of Your Les Paul Style Guitars Here :o)
I found another offer, a little bit cheaper than the Budokan I saw in a music shop. I couldn't resist... Here it is, with my 6-7 feet Gene I found in a bric a brac shop. Bad picture done with a flash... The guitar weights about 4.4 kgs, so I don't think there are too many holes inside of it. Beautif...

Re: AZG/VV Contracts
nobody knows if he could play his killer riffs today or what he is doing the whole day. That’s something I keep wondering about : can a “shredder”(Vinnie is even more than that) still shred without practice ? Does he still play ? What kind of music ? From the pictures we've discovered lately - show...

I thought that happened in 2011 instead of 1992... He was still able to play then.

Re: Sketches of AZG VVV
Great story, thanks! So when Vinnie opened the case and pulled out the guitar the whole restaurant went silent for several moments. You could've heard a pin drop.
Did he play any note or chord? Did he look like he was still able to play?

To me, flutter = Jeff Beck in the mid/early eighties. Vinnie’s flutter is also great on the first Invasion record. It seems he didn’t flutter with Kiss and before Kiss, that's why I think it was new in 1985-6.
I cannot find when Jeff Beck started to use this technique.

Re: Jackson Custom Shop VV Replica Guitars On eBay
I like two points strat tremolos, you can do nice fluttering effects, the trem bar stays in place (not like the Floyds after a while) and the guitar stays in tune. Also, there are no fine tuning screws, so you can hit the bridge with your hand or fingers. Jeff Beck and Vinnie often do/did flutter. I...

The one that makes me hesitate is a Gibson Budokan. Its price is around 2750 US $. I tried it. Those Di Marzio pick-ups and the richlite touch, I don't know... I'm not used of Gibson guitars, so it's difficult for me to compare with another Gibson model. I think it would be more reasonable, better a...

All of this reminds me of Samuel Beckett’s « Waiting for Godot » : two people waiting for someone that will never come. We are those two. Vinnie : a good character for a fiction
Vinnie could be a great character for a fiction (novel or movie). What about having someone like the Coen brothers making a movie about Vinnie ? An actor like Steve Buscemi would be great to play Vinnie, and the VVFF could give lots of stories and ideas for that kind of project. The Coen brothers di...

I’ve got half of a broken japanese double guitar that seems to be a Matsumoku production from the early eighties, neckthrough, 24 frets, kind of DiMarzio pickups. german TV video of All hell's breakin' loose : where is V ?
I didn't see anything on this forum about the german TV video of "All hell's breakin' loose". Vinnie pratically never appears on the screen, even during his great solo- they put Gene instead of him. Any idea why ? Did he steal the piece of meat Gene had in the official video ? The TV show was called...

This is my 1988 Fender strat standard US. I bought it new at the time, and I’m responsible for the terrible massacre I did with a saw and other machines around 1992-3. Great voice - he should become lead singer of Kiss :D ... He's got a real guitar style of his own. It's nice to hear from him today, especally when I think about him twenty years ago.
