Yeah. But I was surprised at Paul's opening sentence. So rare for him to comment on Vinnie's guitar ability nowadays. Wish he would have said something about his writing skills.

Paul Says Vinnie/Eric Should Have Been Spaceman/Catman
Excerpt from Paul's new interview in "Guitar World": As far as navigating the icebergs, as KISS' popularity declined, it was your idea, in 1983, to take off the makeup in order to reinvigorate interest in the band. I take two issues with these comments: 1) The guy is no longer with us. Show at least one ounce of respect by acknowledging that fact. Why don't Paul and Gene just piss on his grave? 2) You know, you'd think these sort of style issues would be worked out beforehand. How the hell did Paul and Gene le...

The Tempo Of KISS Songs Live During The VV Era
One of the interesting thing about the KISS/Vinnie years is that the band really played the songs live at a brisker place, especially the classic material. Re: what's hardest kiss song to play on guitar
Interesting topic. I don't think KISS' rhythm guitars (in any era) border on the insanely difficult in terms of the technical execution. But nailing the proper feel and locking into the groove can always be a challenge. As far as difficulty, I'd go with the main riff to "Parasite" and probably somet...

Re: Vinnie's Exciter solo
I have no doubt in my mind that Vinnie could have played a spectacular guitar solo on "Exciter." The fact that he is not featured on the album was either a power play by G/P or some sort of time issue (as in they were in a bind for time and needed a solo quickly, so they grabbed Derringer). What can...
