Re: I’m building a VVV guitar

Oh yeah, and a Kahler flat mount tremolo bridge instead of a floyd (Kahlers are my favourite bridges!)

I’m building a VVV guitar

I’m having the body built by a local luthier and guitar builder. The neck is an 80s Chandler (Jackson-style) neck with dot inlays and reverse headstock. I have a vintage (probably 80s) Seymour Duncan active pickup and Demeter prototype mid boost preamp from 86, so I’ll use those. It will be painted ...

does anyone have any fond memories with the Metal Tech vhs?

I watched that tape to death trying to study his technique and I actually incorporated his finger style into my own shred technique! how about anyone else?

Any place I could find a VVV?

Anyone know how I could find one? Authentic or not (authentic is too much money!). Preferably not the Chinese fakes.

Re: Guitar solo covers

Yeah that's just how I taught myself to play. I still tap like normal and stuff but shredding is a bit difficult due to lack of pick. The benefits are a really fast thumb though!

Re: Guitar solo covers

I pick with my thumb unlike a lot of guitarists. Those recordings are over a year old, I just discovered them again a few days ago, and I've improved a lot since they were made. I'll put up some more recent ones soon.

Guitar solo covers

Crazy Train Take 2 (1988 Hamer Chaparral).m4a Back On The Streets (1984 Kramer Baretta).m4a As the titles of the files say these covers were recorded on a 1988 Hamer Chaparral (the rare Sustainiac version) and a 1984 Kramer Baretta. The BOTS cover is rather bad in my opinion but whatever it was my ...

Paul Stanley Back On The Streets??

I’m sure I’m not the only one here who’s been thrown off by this statement by Vinnie. Is this recording available somewhere, and more importantly, does it even exist to begin with?

Re: Post your Kramers here..

Is your 1984 from recent times when Gibson owned Kramer? I think they resurrected the Sambora model too, which is pretty cool. Not that I need another guitar, ha ha.... Do you mean the reissue from a few years ago? If that’s what you meant then no, it’s the 1984 model with the “holy grail” headstock

Post your Kramers here..

I would post a picture of my Kramer Baretta here but I can't at the moment. I will down the line hopefully, its a 1984 model with a maple fretboard neck.

Re: new to the forums

:) well I've been a fan for a few years now of his music outside of kiss, i.e. Vinnie Vincent Invasion. I've always been drawn to his work while in KISS. Probably some of my favorite songs of his are Back on the Streets, Boyz Are Gonna Rock, No Substitute, and Love Kills.

new to the forums

Hello there from Florida! I’m new to this forum and I’d just like to introduce myself into the new members area. I’ve been reading this webpage for a long while now and for some reason I haven’t had the idea to create an account, so here I am.
